MUD BATHS in Mar Menor | Lo Pagan
From Amelia Carey
The mud baths are an absolute MUST-DO activity when visiting Mar Menor! It was such a fun day out and great for all the family! A great thing about coming here is that it’s absolutely FREE! You need to make sure you wear swimwear that you don’t mind getting dirty, take buckets to put the mud in (In our case, half of a water bottle), and make sure you wear appropriate shoes (That you can slide on really easy, waterproof, that you don’t mind getting dirty. So you start the day by stepping into the mud baths, walk around in the shallow sea until you feel the thickest mud between your toes, pick it up and make sure it’s really thick and dark grey colour. It shouldn’t be watery mud or a light grey colour. Fill your buckets then head back up the steps to cover your body in it. Don’t apply it too thick or it will take forever to dry! This mud has so many benefits to your skin, muscles, joints… I’ve got to admit, it does make you feel a bit like a pig covered in mud haha! Sit in the sun, relax and let it dry before going back in to wash it all off! Step 2 is a must! Once all the mud is completely washed off, walk up the promenade until you find a path to your left with little ramps into the water. This is my favourite part!! It’s shallow water, very hot, with handfuls of salt, perfect for exfoliating the skin…actually feels like a bath! Another fun part is that you actually float effortlessly! If you do want to go to the normal sea after, you must make sure the mud is completely washed off! I really hope you enjoyed this vlog, if so, I would really appreciate a thumbs up. Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t done so already! Thanks!!
