Sant Antoni de Portmany
Sant Antoni de Portmany is a town on the western coast of Ibiza and is the second largest town on the island. Known for its vivid nightlife and stunning scenery, Sant Antoni de Portmany is arguably one of the best holiday destinations in Spain.
Sant Antoni used to be a quaint fishing village that rose through the Roman natural harbour Portus Magnus. This island town began to flourish in the 1950s with many hotels and cafes built to encourage tourism.
This bustling town has lots of tourist attractions and places of interest. There is Sunset Strip that lies along the natural bay on the west of the town. Bars and cafes line the Sunset Strip fracing into the sunset in the evening. Artists like Swedish House Mafia, Carl Cox, and David Guetta often play at cafe Mambo and the strip is also home to the iconic Cafe del Mar.
Passeig de ses Fonts is the harbourside promenade and is sprinkled with idyllic palm and rubber trees which are illuminated by night. Sant Antoni has 2 major nightclubs in the town if you are looking to party the night away on this beautiful island. But the thing that makes this island town so incredible is the stunning beaches along the coastline. The golden sands and crystal blue seas matched with the scorching sunshine and stunning scenery makes these beaches some of the best in Spain, perfect to relax and switch off from the outside world.
Whether you are looking for a party or some downtime relaxing on the beach, Sant Antoni is a great choice and probably one of the best holiday destinations in Spain. And with so many different activities to chose from and its gorgeous natural beauty, it’s easy to understand why.
