Day Trip to Tabarca Island | Alicante

Today we took a day trip to Tabarca Island with our friends Becca and Bill and what an incredible day we had! We got the ferry from the Torrevieja port which cost us €24 return. The ferry left the port at 11 am and we had to be back on the ferry to come back at 6 pm. We bought the tickets last minute and got straight onto the ferry so don’t worry about booking them in advance! The ferry took an hour, and we would definitely recommend sitting on the inside as we did on the way back…much smoother! Take plenty of water, snorkeling gear, and a packed lunch..although you can buy food there! The island itself felt very small so you can definitely explore it in one day, but as there are so many beaches, we will be going back for sure! Our favourite beach was surrounded by caves..was just awesome! Even though I have lived near here for almost 14 years, I can’t believe we have never visited this place before, truly made us feel like we were on holiday…maybe somewhere in Greece!
